Commander John Metcalf Jackson, R.N. (3 September, 1883 – 7 March, 1918) was an officer in the Royal Navy. One of his three Service Records has his middle name as "Metcalfe".

Life & Career

The son of a Reverend.

Jackson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1905.

Jackson was placed in command of Comet in November, 1914. This was probably the river gunboat.

Jackson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1916.

Jackson was appointed to the Template:UK-Daisy on 10 July, 1917. He died aboard her on 7 March, 1918.
