Lieutenant George Harris, D.S.C., R.N. (9 October, 1872 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

There is another George Harris, a Chief Boatswain who died on 2 September, 1923.

Life & Career of the Bosun

Harris was confirmed in the rank of Gunner on 13 August, 1903.[1]

Harris was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 2 August, 1917.[2]

On 17 January, 1910, Harris was appointed Gunner in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 89.[3][4]

Harris was appointed as Gunner in Command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 80 on 13 June, 1912.[5][6]

Harris was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Lieutenant on 1 September, 1922. He died on 30 October, 1939.[7]
