Commander John Paget Gibbs, R.N., Retired (20 November, 1884 – 8 March, 1953) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Gibbs was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1907.[1]
Gibbs was appointed Lieutenant & Commander of the destroyer Velox on 21 October, 1912.[2]
Gibbs was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1915,[3] and as acting Commander in Niobe for work with Headquarters, Ottawa on 25 May, 1918.[4]
Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 6 May, 1920, Gibbs was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 20 November, 1924.
