Commander (retired) Reginald Geoffrey France-Hayhurst, (7 May, 1896 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of Reverend Hesketh France-Hayhurst.

France-Hayhurst served in Inflexible from 15 January, 19114 through 10 February, 1916, when he was appointed to Tyne for the destroyer Vigilant.

On 9 June, 1916 he was appointed to the destroyer Musketeer.

France-Hayhurst was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 September, 1917, adjusted from 15 February, 1918. On 7 November 1917 he was appointed to Tyrant.[1]

France-Hayhurst was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 September, 1925.[2]

World War II

France-Hayhurst was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 7 May, 1941.[3]

Reverted 21 January, 1947.[4]
