Commander (retired) Roger Henry Charles Fetherstonhaugh-Frampton, (5 February, 1899 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of A. (or H.?) Fetherstonhaugh-Frampton, Esq., J. P..[1]

He served in Amphitrite from August 1914 to 22 June, 1915, and in Barham from 22 July 1915 to 29 October, 1917, seeing action at the Battle of Jutland.[2]

He failed his examinations for Torpedo, Gunnery and Engineering in May 1917, but passed them in July. His last wartime appointment was in the destroyer Vectis from 7 November 1917 to 15 January, 1919.[3]

Fetherstonhaugh-Frampton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 12 January, 1920.[4]

Placed on the Retired List at his own request on 4 November, 1922., Fetherstonhaugh-Frampton was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 12 January, 1928.[5]

World War II

Commanded Glen Strathallan vice Gorton from 14 May 1941 to 24 February, 1943.

Fetherstonhaugh-Frampton was promoted to the rank of Commander on 5 September, 1945.[6]
