Commander Charles Lindsay Evan-Thomas, D.S.C. (19 March, 1891 – 12 September, 1950) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of L. Evan Thomas, Esq., B.A., shipowner.[1]
Evan-Thomas was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 February, 1913.[2]
First Lt. in Acorn from 10 November 1913 to 16 August, 1915, after which he was to assist in the completion of the "M" Class destroyer H.M.S. Marne for service. He served in her until being appointed to P34 on 30 May 1916.[3]
Evan-Thomas was next appointed in command of the destroyer Llewellyn on 1 September, 1917.[4]
Evan-Thomas was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 28 February, 1921.[5]
Evan-Thomas was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1926.[6]
He was placed on the Retired List at his own request, dated 1 August, 1928.[7]
