Captain (retired) Lionel Henry St. Croix Coxon, R.N. (14 September, 1858 – 26 May, 1929) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
In July, 1871, Coxon was eighteenth-ranked of twenty candidates who passed the entrance examinations, but who were not amongst the thirty-five taken in. He was told he was welcome to try again in the coming November testing cycle.[1]
Coxon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 29 June, 1883.[2]
Coxon was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1898.[3]
Coxon was promoted to the rank of Captain (retired) on 31 December, 1913.[4]
Coxon altered his last name to "Cary" by Royal Warrant in 1917.[5]
