Commander Charles Lionel Brendon, R.N., Retired (19 November, 1876 – 23 December, 1947) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Dover the son of Major General Brendon.

Brendon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1900.[1]

Brendon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1908.

Brendon was granted the rank of Acting Commander on 12 January, 1916.

Acting Commander Brendon was appointed in command of the battleship Hannibal on 11 September, 1918.[2]

Post-War

Brendon was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 7 October, 1920.
