Lieutenant-Commander Godfrey Berkeley John Benyon, (10 September, 1883 – 1 November, 1914) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Benyon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1905.

POn 23 May 1910, he was admitted to Chatham Hospital to be treated for gonorrhea.

Benyon was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1913.

Benyon was appointed to the armoured cruiser H.M.S. Good Hope on 17 August, 1914 and died when she sank with all hands at the Battle of Coronel on 1 November.
