Commander R.N.R. (retired) Reginald Slaughter Triggs, R.D., R.N.R. (4 February, 1879 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Served in the light cruiser Chatham and lost use of his right arm in action at the Rufiji River.[1]

Triggs was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. in June 1915 and served in Canada to 1 August, 1918, inclduing at the Battle of Jutland. He became the most senior Lt., R.N.R. in the squadron.[2]

Made an acting Commander on 31 December, 1918, Triggs was demobilised in May 1919 and placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander R.N.R. on 15 August, 1921.
