In December, 1905, she was part of the nucleus crew reserve at Devonport.[9]
In January, 1907, she was in the Destroyer Flotilla based at Devonport, known as the Third Destroyer Flotilla.[10]
In April, 1910, she was in the Second Destroyer Flotilla.[11]
In mid-1911, Arab was with the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla, part of the Home Fleet.[12]
From April 1912 or earlier to October, 1914, she was in the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla.
Following time in the Methil Convoy Flotilla, she returned to 7 D.F., which was then part of East Coast Forces and based in the Humber, from May 1918 to February, 1919.
