Commander R.N.R. Joseph Kenneth Chaplin, R.D. (7 February, 1885 – 21 February, 1954) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Chaplin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 13 July, 1915.[1]

In 1917, he received an adverse report following a collision, probably involving Boxer.

Demobilised on 13 August, 1919.[2]

Chaplin was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 13 July, 1923.[3]

Chaplin was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1928.[4]

I do not see mention of his retirement in ADM 240/57/31.
