Commander (retired) Trevor St. Vincent Frederick Tyler, (21 June, 1891 – 20 October, 1949) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of retired Lt. George W. Tyler, R.N..

Tyler was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 May, 1914 while serving in the destroyer Cockatrice of the Fourth Destroyer Flotilla. On 5 June, 1914 he was appointed to St. George, which was then helping manage the Ninth Destroyer Flotilla. Later wartime appointments had him in M.24, Lupin and Patrol before he was appointed in command of the destroyer Ure on 15 December, 1917. This appointment would carry him through the end of the war.[1]

Tyler was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 May, 1922.[2]

Tyler was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 26 December, 1934.[3]
