Commander John Frederick Bradburne, (1 May, 1900 – 26 November, 1938) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of G. E. Bradburne, the proprietor of a motor car firm passed out of the Training Establishment on 1 January, 1916 and was appointed to Hercules, in which he fought at the Battle of Jutland. On 31 July 1918 he joined the Buttercup.[1]

Bradburne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 August, 1920.[2]

Bradburne was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 August, 1928.[3]

Bradburne was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1934. Suffering from tuberculosis, he was placed on the Retired List as medically unfit on 1 February, 1937.[4]

His wife died on 9 May, 1938 and he died on 26 November of the same year.[5]
