Launched: 9 Mar, 1903[2]
Rammed: 2 Feb, 1912[3]
Fate: by Hazard
H.M.S. A 3 was one of thirteen "A" class coastal submarines completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In April, 1911, A 3 was one of the four "A" class and one "D" class boats comprising the Portsmouth Submarine Flotilla.[4]

A 3 was lost with all on board when she was rammed by Hazard on 2 February, 1912.
