Commander (retired) Douglas Macdonald Hervey-Macleay, (13 July, 1891 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Cove, Dumbarton, Hervey-Macleay entered the Royal Navy direct from Worcester and joined the Drake on 15 May, 1907.[1]

Hervey-Macleay was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1912. He had recently had some misadventure in C 22 involving her engines.[2]

Hervey-Macleay was placed on the Retired List on 19 April 1920 and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 15 October, 1920.[3]

Hervey-Macleay was promoted to the rank of Commander (retired) on 13 July, 1931.[4]
