H.M.S. Bramble was one of four gunboats of the Bramble class of 1886. She was renamed Cockatrice in 1896 and sold in 1906.

There was a later gunboat named Bramble.

Service

She was commissioned at Devonport on 21 October, 1887. In 1891 she was serving on the Southeast coast of Africa.[4]

She was one of twelve obsolete vessels sold at auction at Chatham Dockyard on 3 April, 1906. She fetched £3,800.[5]
