Commander (retired) Richard Charles Stokes, (4 June, 1894 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
Stokes was confirmed in the rank of Mate on 28 June, 1917.[1]
Stokes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 June, 1920.[2]
Stokes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 28 June, 1928.[3]
Stokes was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 4 June, 1939.[4]
