Squadron Commander De Courcy Wyndor Plunkett Ireland, R.N. (18 January, 1885 – 21 February, 1916) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Ireland was appointed in command of the destroyer Havock on 1 February, 1910.[1]

Ireland died alongside Wing Commander Neville Florian Usborne in a wartime experiment to launch a fighter plane from airship AP.1 as a defence against Zeppelin attacks.
