H.M.S. Tribune was one of sixty-seven "S" class destroyers built for the Royal Navy as the Great War was ending.

Service

In early 1919, it was rumoured at Malta that Tribune had rolled so badly during winter storms that the her condenser suctions had come out of the water, stopping her engines and leaving her helpless for a time.[6]

Tribune was re-commissioned on 27 May, 1919.[7]

Tribune was re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 21 September, 1923. By March 1925, she was assigned to the Seventh Destroyer Flotilla of the Atlantic Fleet.[8]

She was reduced to Reserve at Portsmouth on 21 December, 1925.[9]

The ship was commissioned on 18 November, 1927.[10]

She commissioned at Rosyth on 1 February, 1929.[11]
