Captain Arthur Dyke Beauchamp James, (19 May, 1898 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of an Australian sheep farmer.

James was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1919.[1]

James was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1927.[2]

James was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1932.[3]

World War II

He was placed on the Retired List, medically unfit for a variety of reasons including deafness, bronchitis and defective vision on 18 May, 1948. He was granted the War Service Rank of Captain on 16 July.[4]
