Captain John Hughes-Hallett, D.S.O. (1 December, 1901 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hughes-Hallett was promoted to the rank of Midshipman on 1 May, 1918.[1] He was appointed to the cruiser Hawkins on 4 August, 1919.[2]
He was awarded the Ogilvy Medal for the year 1927 for placing first in his examinations to qualify as Lieutenant (T).[3]
Hughes-Hallett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1934.[4]
Hughes-Hallett was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1940.[5]
