Lieutenant-Commander Colin Charles Lucas Mackenzie, R.N. (30 May, 1893 – 15 August, 1942) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of a merchant, Mackenzie's Service Record notes not his entrance to Royal Naval College, Osborne, but Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, on 15 May, 1908. I've decided to make his entrance term as "Unknown". He passed out on 15 January, 1911 and was appointed to Bacchante in the Mediterranean, where he stayed for fourteen months. On 1 April, 1912, he was appointed to the battleship H.M.S. Collingwood.
Mackenzie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 July, 1915.
Post-War
Mackenzie was appointed in command of the submarine H 48 on 31 August, 1920.[1]
Mackenzie was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 July, 1923.
Mackenzie was appointed in command of the newly commissioned river gunboat Tern from 21 November 1927 through 18 November, 1929.
