H.M.S. L 33 was one of thirty-five "L" class submarines completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
In 1925, she was part of Fourth Submarine Flotilla on the China Station. Lieutenant Geoffrey Healey is listed with her, but not expressly as being "in command."[6]
On 9 March 1926 while under the command of Lt. Lewis B. A. Majendie, she collided with the Chinese steamship Yen Sing.[7]
In early 1929, she was still part of Fourth Submarine Flotilla on the China Station. This time Lieutenant Frank Gilbert Hackforth-Jones is listed with her, but not expressly as being "in command."[8]
Paid off into Dockyard Control at Portsmouth on 7 May, 1931.[9]
