H.M.S. Arno was a Portuguese destroyer (being constructed in Italy under the name Liz) purchased and taken into Royal Navy service in March, 1915. She was the only foreign-built commissioned warship in the navy that was not a prize vessel.

Service

At Suvla Bay on 6-7 August, 1915, Arno worked with six Beagles of the Third Destroyer Flotilla and towed troop barges in.[6]

On 23 March, 1918, while serving in the Mediterranean, Arno collided with her fellow member of the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla, Hope. Arno sank as a result of the accident.
