H.M.S. Penelope was a central-battery armoured corvette completed for the Royal Navy in 1868.
Design & Construction
Armament
Service
By 1881, she was a Coast Guard and Drill Ship of the Naval Reserve temporarily stationed at Kingstown in the absence of Template:UK-1Belleisle.[6]
Commissioned at Portsmouth on 23 October, 1888.[7]
