Commander (retired) Walter Leigh Bamber, (12 September, 1844 – February, 1915) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
In 1864, Bamber was awarded the Royal Humane Society's Bronze Medal for saving life from drowning.[1]
Bamber was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 11 September, 1866.
In 1870, Bamber a clasp for his R.H.S. Bronze Medal for an additional act of saving life from drowning.[2]
Retired with the rank of Commander on 1 October, 1873.
