H.M.S. Imogene (1882)
Launched: 1882[1]
Commissioned: 24 Feb, 1918[2]
Sold: 15 May, 1919[3]

H.M.S. Imogene was an iron screw yacht, originally in civil service as Strathendrick. She was purchased in 1882.

Service and Details

On 1 April 1913, Immogene was re-commissioned at Malta.[4]

A small ship with a barkentine rig displacing 460 tons, Imogene served as a Q-ship from 24 February, 1918. In this role, she mounted one 4-in gun, two 12-pdrs and a 7.5-in Bomb Thrower.[5]

Imogene was renamed H.M.S. Impey in 1919, shortly before being sold.
