Rear-Admiral (retired) Wollaston Comyns Karslake, R.N. (4 July, 1842 – 24 September, 1903) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Karslake was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 28 November, 1863.

Karslake was promoted to the rank of Commander on 8 April, 1876.

Karslake was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June, 1884.

Karslake commanded the second class protected cruiser Thames in the Annual Manoeuvres of 1890. His ship acted as part of Fleet Number 1 which was itself playing the role of the Royal Navy fending off attacks on British trade routes.[1]

Karslake retired on 13 March, 1897.

Karslake was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral (retired) on 22 June, 1899.
