H.M.S. Anthony was one of eleven "A" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Anthony was commissioned at Chatham on 11 March, 1930 for duty with the Third Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[1]

Lt. Cdr. James Abernethy McCoy re-commissioned her at Chatham on 18 October, 1932 for continued service with the Third Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[2]

Reduced to Reserve on 25 May, 1937.[3]
