Captain (retired) Charles Cockin Johnson, R.N. (17 December, 1879 – 2 February, 1964) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Born in Dartmouth, the son of naval instructor A. C. Johnson.

Johnson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on

Johnson was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on

Johnson was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1913.[1]

As a Commander, Johnson was appointed in command of the monitor Humber in February, 1918.[2]

Post-War

Johnson was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 30 January, 1926.
