H.M.A.S. Canberra was one of seven Kent Class cruisers completed for the Royal Australian Navy.
Service
Commissioned at Clydebank on 9 July, 1928.[6] In mid-1931 she was bearing Commodore, First Class Leonard Stanley Holbrook, Commanding H.M. Australian Squadron.

- Captain Charles Farquhar-Smith, 29 May, 1931[7] (and as Flag Captain and Chief Staff Officer to Com1 Holbrook)
