Captain Harold Escombe, C.M.G., R.N., Retired (16 September, 1874 – 27 March, 1933) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Escombe was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 22 June, 1897.
Escombe was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1908.
Escombe was appointed in command of the destroyer Maori on 11 November, 1909.[1]
Appointed in command of Imogene from 17 June, 1913 until 20 September, 1914.
Escombe was promoted to the rank of acting Captain on 31 March, 1915.
Escombe was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Europa in July, 1917.
Escombe was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Captain on 29 September, 1920.
