Lieutenant-Commander (retired) George Wright, R.N. (20 August, 1854 – 24 July, 1932) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Wright was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 1 June, 1882.

He was appointed to Vernon for T.B. 81 on 28 April, 1887, ending on 24 May, and again from 7 July to 18 August.

He was appointed to Vernon for T.B. 79 on 21 July, 1892, ending on 31 August.

He was appointed to Vernon for T.B. 81 on 11 July, 1893 and ending on 16 August.

Wright was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 12 January, 1903.

Wright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 18 July, 1906.

Wright was retired due to age on 20 August, 1909.

Wright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 29 July, 1914.

Reverted to the Retired List on 7 March, 1919.
