Admiral SIR Henry Coey Kane, K.C.B., Royal Navy, Retired (15 December, 1843 – 30 January, 1917) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Kane was promoted to the rank of Commander with seniority of 22 January, 1877.[1]
Kane was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 26 December, 1897, vice Duckworth-King.[2] In accordance with the provisions of the Orders in Council of 22 February, 1870, 5 August, 1875, and 26 June, 1886, he was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 25 August, 1899.[3]
He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 8 February, 1907.[4]
On the occasion of King George V's coronation he was knighted and promoted Knight Commander in the Order of the Bath (K.C.B) on 19 June, 1911.[5]
