H.M.S. Widgeon was one of nine gunboats of the Redbreast class completed for the Royal Navy around 1890.

There was a later gunboat named Widgeon launched in 1904.

Service

Commissioned at Devonport on 13 May, 1890 under Lieutenant & Commander George L. B. Bennett.[3]
