Commander (retired) Jermyn Rushbrooke, R.N. (5 April, 1890 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Rushbrooke entered the Navy direct from Worcester. He was appointed to Bedford on 15 January, 1907. He would serve in a series of large ships on the China, Atlantic and Mediterranean stations before being appointed to Arrogant for instruction in submarines on 31 July, 1912.

Rushbrooke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 October, 1912. On 18 November, he was appointed to Pactolus for duty in submarines.

In October 1913, he would be appointed to B 9. On 30 July, 1915, the Vice-Admiral would appoint him in command of the same boat.

Rushbrooke was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 October, 1920.

Rushbrooke was promoted to the rank of Commander on 5 April, 1933.

World War II

Reverted tothe Retired List on 12 June, 1947 and granted the War Service rank of Captain.
