Lieutenant-Commander (retired) John Hayes, R.N. (4 March, 1867 – 24 September, 1940) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in County Cork.
Hayes was promoted to the rank of Gunner on 1 January, 1894.
Hayes was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 31 August, 1911.
Hayes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 May, 1916.
Hayes was retired with an effective date of 30 April, 1918, though this may not have occurred before early 1919.
Hayes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander (retired) on 1 May, 1924.
