Admiral John William Brackenbury, C.B., C.M.G., Royal Navy (30 November, 1842 – 15 March, 1918) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was appointed in command of the cruiser Turquoise, on the East Indies Station, on 14 September, 1887.[1]
Brackenbury was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 8 June, 1905, vice Fellowes,[2] and placed on the Retired List at his own request on 5 July, in accordance with the provisions of the Order in Council of 8 December, 1903.[3]
