Admiral SIR Richard Poore, Fourth Baronet, K.C.B., Royal Navy (7 July, 1853 – 8 December, 1930) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
Captain
Poore was promoted to the rank of Captain on 13 May, 1890.[1]
Poore was appointed a Naval Aide-de-Camp to King Edward VII on 16 June, 1901, vice Metaxa.[2]
Flag Rank
Poore was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 30 August, 1903, vice Holland.[3]
Poore was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 1 March, 1907, vice Aldrich.[4]
He was appointed Commander-in-Chief at the Nore on 29 August, 1911.[5] He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 17 July, vice Dyke Acland.[6]
Poore was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 3 April, 1917.[7]
