H.M.S. Diligence was the former S. S. Tabaristan, purchased on 29 January, 1913 and completed in October of that year as a depot ship.

Service

She served the Twelfth Destroyer Flotilla exclusively, from the end of 1915 through February, 1919.[5]

Re-commissioned at Constantinople on 3 August, 1923.[6]
