Captain (retired) Edmond Alan Berners Stanley, D.S.O., M.V.O. (2 September, 1882 – 23 November, 1951) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Stanley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 March, 1904.[1]
Stanley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 March, 1912.[2]
Stanley was appointed in command of the destroyer Desperate on 8 June, 1912.[3]
On 5 March, 1914, Stanley was appointed in command of the destroyer Afridi,[4] and was re-appointed there on 6 September, 1914.[5]
Stanley was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1917.[6]
Stanley was appointed in command of the destroyer Kempenfelt on 27 February, 1918.[7]
Stanley was promoted to the rank of Captain on the Retired List on 2 September, 1927.[8]
