Commander (retired) Hugh Barrington Worsley, D.S.O. (17 February, 1883 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Worsley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1904.[1]

Worsley was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 8 on 19 October, 1909.[2]

Worsley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1912.[3]

Great War

Lieutenant-Commander Worsley remained in Agamemnon until 1 February, 1918 when he was appointed in command of the gunboat Bramble.[4]

Interbellum

Worsley was superseded in command of Bramble by Lieutenant-Commander John Walter Rainier on 4 January, 1919.[5]

On 1 February, 1920, Worsley was appointed to Hermione, additional, for charge of minelayers moore in the Hamble River. On 1 April, he was appointed to Sir Hugo for a group of Racehorse sloops.[6]

World War II

His miscellaneous shore-based services extending from 1939 to 1945 are detailed in his Service Record.
