Franklin Jeremiah Drake (4 March, 1846 – 30 January, 1929) served in the United States Navy.
Life & Career
Franklin Drake was born in New York on 4 March, 1846 and entered the U.S. Navy on 23 February, 1863, at the height of the American Civil War.[1]
Drake was promoted to the rank of Commander on 3 March, 1899.[2] He was appointed to command the monitor Monterey on 17 March, 1901.[3]
