Lieutenant Commander Marcus Bainbridge Buford ( – ) was an officer of the United States Navy and, after resigning his commission, the Massachusetts Naval Militia. He was called up to serve in the United States Navy during the Spanish-American War.

Buford was a relation of famed cavalryman General John Buford, whose stand at Gettysburg on July 1st was crucial to the Union victory.
