H.M.S. Whirlwind was one of twenty-two destroyers of the "W" class.
Service
Whirlwind immediately joined the Dover Patrol's Sixth Destroyer Flotilla upon commissioning in March, 1918.[7]
She re-commissioned on 10 December, 1920.[8]
