Captain Lancelot Arthur Wetherell Spooner, O.B.E. (? – 2 September, 1969).
Life & Career
Spooner was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 October, 1905.[1]
Spooner was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 October, 1913.[2]
On 31 December, 1917, he was promoted to Commander.[3]
Spooner was Gunnery Officer in the monitor Abercrombie.
Awarded the O.B.E. in the King's Birthday Honours of 23 June, 1936 while serving with the Royal Australian Navy.
Married to Eileen M.A. Spooner, d. 9 June, 1973 in Auckland, N.Z. Father of Derek and Ronald. Died in Hove, Sussex.
