Admiral SIR Lionel George Preston, K.C.B., Royal Navy (27 September, 1875 – 21 September, 1971) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
On 19 January, 1933 Preston succeeded Air Marshal Sir Robert Brooke-Popham as Commandant, Imperial Defence College.[1] He was promoted to the rank of Admiral on 28 February, 1934.[2]
Preston was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 16 January, 1935.
Preston died on 21 September, 1971 at Dunstable aged ninety-five.
