Rear-Admiral Ronald Wolseley Oldham, O.B.E. (21 July, 1887 – ?) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Lieutenant on 30 March, 1908.[1]

Lieutenant-Commander on 30 March, 1916.[2]

Oldham served as Gunnery Officer in Irresistible from 8 January, 1913 until the ship was lost on 18 March, 1915.

He transferred to Inflexible and fought in her at the Battle of Jutland. On 31 August, 1918, he moved to Tiger, being reappoint there on 31 December, 1919 when he was promoted to Commander. He left the ship on 27 September, 1920.[3]

Captain on 31 December 1925 (or 1923?).[4]

On 15 June, 1929, he was appointed to the heavy cruiser Shropshire to be her first commanding officer upon her commissioning. He left her in September, 1931.[5]

Rear-Admiral on 11 January, 1938.[6]
