Captain Tynte Ford Hammill, C.B., Royal Navy (6 December, 1851 – 1 July, 1894) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

For his service with the Nile Expeditionary Force Hammill was promoted to the rank of Captain dated 17 August, 1885.[1]

Hammill was appointed in command of the new battleship Royal Sovereign in March, 1892.[2]

On the occasion of the Queen's birthday, Hammill was appointed an Ordinary Member of the Third Class, or Companion, in the Military Division of the Order of the Bath (C.B.) on 25 May, 1892.[3]

Hammill was appointed in command of the second class battleship Camperdown on 20 June, 1894.[4]
